Just connect it using a Hi-Speed USB cable (compatible with USB 2.0 high-speed specifications) to transfer scans at optimum speeds, as well as to access scanning software and one-touch features.
- See perfect results in seconds. You can scan up to 8 pages per minute, and each scan can be quickly previewed in as little as 7 seconds. Both the scan and preview functions are conveniently operated at the touch of a button.
Unsurpassed functionality - Versatile scanning capabilities. In addition to documents, photos, negatives and slides, you can easily digitise hard-to-scan 3-D objects like product samples, books and magazines. Printed literature can also be quickly converted to editable text using the OCR software.
- Software designed for easy document management. The Scanjet 5590 is equipped with NewSoft Presto! PageManager. This industry-leading document management software lets you convert paper documents to PDF, MS Word, HTML, or a wide range of other digital formats – then index and archive them in the most systematic way. Using the intuitive thumbnail interface, you can conveniently preview while you search, so you'll quickly retrieve the document you need without having to open a single file. You can search by title, author, or even key words within the content. For multiple documents that belong in a group – such as invoices from the same vendor or separate orders from the same client – simply merge them into a single file. You can also add audio annotations or images to important documents that need to stand out. Working seamlessly with your existing data management system, NewSoft Presto! PageManager supports multiple-user workgroups, allowing files to be speedily and efficiently accessed and shared by all authorised staff.
- Convert negatives and slideshow digital images. With the Transparent Materials Adapter (TMA), you can scan much more than standard paper documents. Simply connect the adapter to your scanner and easily convert traditional 35mm negatives or slides into digital image files.
- Flexible document storage. Scan and save any document as a Microsoft Word, Adobe PDF, or JPEG file – whichever format that suits you best. In fact, the 'File Documents' button gives you the added flexibility of saving files directly to your computer as a single document or as multiple files.
