March 2002 it was time to upgrade our whole system from servers to workstations and printers.
Our previous systems had been various home built systems and generic brand computers, running windows NT4 workstations and servers. We had been having problems with systems going down intermittently and problems that we could not identify which we suspected as hardware problems. After looking around we made the decission to replace our whole network and go with one brand in the end we selected HP for its reputation based on information that we received from various sources and we already owned 2 HP printers that we were happy with which we had bought 12 months earlier. We installed 2 servers (windows 2000 server)21 workstations (XP Pro). We had no problems in change over from one system to the new system. Pulled out old computers and installed new ones configure a few settings and away we went. We would recommend HP computers and printers to any one, we are recommending to our clients to buy HP equipment, as their systems are being replaced. We are going to replace our outdated laptop now and of course it will be replaced with a HP.
