When starting as this school's I.T Manager, I inherited an sprawling unswitched network which was lagging badly behind the needs of over 150 computers, a dozen laser printers, and over 4 major OS platforms. Our first decision when upgrading was to standardise our network infrastructure and printing on one brand, but which one? Sage advice from fellow I.T heads commended H.P to me, and we've been delighted at how our H.P purchases have exceeded our expectations. Our ProCurve switches, hubs and modules (the works: copper and fibre, 10/100 and gigabit speeds ) and printers (LaserJets and A3 colour inkjets) have saved us time, money and immeasurable stress. We are particularly impressed at the lifetime replacement warranty on our ProCurve gear. On the rare occasion we need it, the response was immediate and effective.
