• Eliminates user intervention and printer downtime with HP Designjet WebAccess which uses any computer’s web browser for convenient remote access to configurable printer alerts, job management, printer status, and ink and media usage information.
• The HP Designjet 5500 Printer Series features a six ink, 1200 dpi writing system and HP Color Layering Technology that ensures a wide colour gamut, continuous tone and smooth colour transitions.
• The series has a new integrated heater that ensures optimal image quality when using the production print modes.
• Designed to meet the needs of print service providers and GIS professionals, the series promises accurate and consistent colour printing by providing PANTONE® colour matching for spots and process colours.
• Other features include multiple press emulations such as EuroScale, SWOP, DIC, TOYO and JMPA offset printing emulations for HP Designjet 5500ps; as well as other emulations for other HP Designjet printers and Apple ColorSync® compatibility.
• Easy connectivity in multi-platform environments. It provides a direct PDF, TIFF and JPEG printing path using a driver-less printing workflow for UNIX®, Linux, Mac® OS and Windows® environments, thus ensuring efficient connectivity in the workplace.
• The 40 GB hard disk and 128 MB RAM (256 MB RAM on HP Designjet 5500ps) ensure the smooth processing of all print jobs.
