Personal Navigation – beyond getting directions, easily build mapping systems with iPAQ’s GPS features

Most users are familiar with iPAQ’s built-in Global Positioning System and mapping software. It allows you to navigate your way across confusing, crowded city roads and wide-open country highways. However, most don’t know that you can add the coordinates to the photographs you have taken with iPAQ’s built-in camera. These photographs with coordinates are stored as data files that can be accessed using the photo viewing application of the iPAQ.

One possible use of this is to build a mapping system for your business - displaying actual photographs against geographic coordinates on a map. This might be a map of your company’s service centre locations across a region. Clicking on the locations brings up the photos and a description of how customers can find your service centre or contact its staff.  You could also use this to mark the location of homes for sale.
