The new HP Compaq dc7800 Ultra-slim Desktop is an impressive 46 percent smaller than the previous generation of HP dc7700 Ultra-slim Desktop, shrinking its footprint while at the same time providing more power for demanding application users. Protect your data with HP Backup and Recovery Manager, included with all HP Compaq Business Desktop PCs. HP Backup and Recovery Manager makes it simple to back up your data to a network drive, second hard drive, or other media.
The HP Compaq dc7800 Ultra-slim Desktop also comes with HP ProtectTools standard. HP ProtectTools, provides a suite of security tools that work with the integrated Trusted Platform Module 1.2 (TPM 1.2) to password protect access to your system and help secure information on your hard drive. New in HP ProtectTools is Device Access Manager which allows you to make your USB ports read only and disables any write function to external devices.
How to buy
To purchase the HP Compaq dc7800 Ultra-slim Desktop with HP Integrated Work Center, you need to buy both the desktop itself and the HP L1706i 19-inch diagonal LCD monitor. Alternatively, you can purchase the desktop and the HP Integrated Work Center stand to attach the CPU to your existing HP LDC monitor. 1. 2. The HP dc7800 PC is enabled for Intel vPro Technology. Some functionality of this technology, such as Intel Active management technology and Intel Virtualization technology, requires additional 3rd party software in order to run. Availability of future "virtual appliances" applications for Intel vPro technology is dependant on 3rd party software providers. Compatibility of this generation of Intel vPro technology-based hardware with with future "virtual appliances" and Microsoft Windows Vista operating system is yet to be determined.
3. Dual Core is a new technology designed to improve performance of multithreaded software products and hardware-aware multitasking operating systems and may require appropriate operating system software for full benefit. Not all customers or software applications will necessarily benefit from use of this technology. 64-bit computing on Intel architecture requires a computer system with a processor, chipset, BIOS, operating system, device drivers and applications enabled for Intel® 64 architecture.
