Why go thin?
Thin clients are the ideal access devices to our Remote Client Solution which includes server-based computing, Virtual Desktop Infrastructure, HP Blade PCs and HP Blade Workstations. Centralised management and streamlined components mean simplified application provisioning and management for reduced operations cost.
With no local data or removable media, thin clients are also ultra-secure and ensure support visits are cut to a minimum.
Why go mobile?
With the new HP Compaq 6720t Mobile Thin Client you can now enjoy the added flexibility of notebook computing and work just where you need to.
If increased mobility makes you worry about increased security threats then don’t. As with desk-based, thin clients none of your company's data is stored locally so if the device gets stolen or lost there’s no risk of confidential information falling into the wrong hands.
In addition to that you can also help prevent unauthorised application installations and virus writing to disk thanks to the Enhanced Write Filter feature of Microsoft® XP Embedded which comes as standard.
Manageability made simple
Automated HP set-up and configuration tools as well as the integrated Altiris Deployment Solution mean establishing your client network is easy and it only takes a matter of minutes before you’re ready to go. With a free download of HP OpenView Client Configuration Manager basic edition you are also equipped with the tools you need for handling Enterprise class deployments.
In addition, exclusive HP ThinState Tools enable your client to be used as a “master” for easily deploying images to other thin clients in the network or using an USB disc key.
Increased reliability
The solid-state design of the HP Compaq 6720t means no moving parts which results in devices that require less time-consuming and costly repairs. That means increased productivity for each user and reduced ownership costs to your business.
On-the-move productivity
When you’re mobile you still need to be connected and with Wi-Fi Certified WLAN you can enjoy high speed broadband access where you need it. (1)
When you’re mobile you also like desktop features to help you work efficiently. That’s why you get a15.4-inch diagonal widescreen WXGA with anti-glare display, plus a full-sized thin keyboard.
If that’s not enough, the HP 6720t is also packed with a host of user–friendly features and is configurable with an optional integrated optical drive. To find out more about the HP 6720t or any of these features please visit our website.
